Fairytales, family, and fun

My love and loyalty to fairytales, myths, princesses, and frogs was rewarded with an invitation to Slayton House Theatre Camp of the Arts to see my niece’s theatre camp evening show. Inspired, I took a few photos and videos, added in some iMovie magic.  Sit back and enjoy the show! wishing you much more happily ever after and FUN from…             PS – I think we need to rewrite some fairytales to teach our youth that being…

Orphan Block Roundup

Once upon a time in perfection-ville, quilters always made the right amount of blocks with perfectly matched points, and in the perfect colors for the perfect quilt. In real life, orphan blocks happen. Maybe your trip around the world, took a detour into wonderland or your “block-of-month” project became a roadblock.  Don’t let these quilt blocks pileup in your workspace (and on your conscience.) Join in with other resourceful quilters and rescue these lonely blocks from their sad fate…

The All Star Game is the halfway mark, baseball season, summer, even the calendar year… is it half empty or half full?   Maybe it’s the positive vs negative perspective… Isn’t perspective great? Repeat after me “It’s just math.”   Math is your friend, Math is your pal.  If you have bad feelings toward Math, stop – realize that you are on a first name basis, it’s not Mathematics.  It’s Just Math!      share the fun…Want more FUN? Triple Threat and the Reservation Equation

I am well versed in the delicate art of delegation.  I delegate to my humble crockpot, to the pizza parlor, to the timer on the coffeemaker, the delay on the dishwasher and washing machine, our wash&wear wrinkle-free dress shirts, my many checklists, a few at the ready “go-bags”, the recording device on my phone, my gps, my fabulous nail tech, my streamlined makeup system, my Kindle, my iPhone in general… these are some of my many teammates that create more…

at the intersection of fun and serendipity

I enjoyed a lovely stroll with the Queen of the Selfie, the Empress of the Eyebrows, her majesty, Ms.Muppin, aka Cheryl Sleboda. Funny that our art has been traveling together for years as part of the Power Suit and the Arts and Old Lace exhibits. Cheryl’s Armored and Ready/All Systems Go depicts a strong female superhero – light with a dark background and my Cognition, features a dark focus on a light background. This still gives me such good vibes! I’m so very…
